I teach guitar lessons on a Yamaha acoustic. Students ages 8 and up are welcome to take either 30 or 45 minute lessons. They are responsible for bringing their own guitar to lessons. If you do not already have a guitar purchased, I am happy to help you find one that will fit your needs. Students will learn chords, strumming patterns, finger picking, and music theory based on their interests. No musical background necessary.
I have studied classical, folk, blues, and rock guitar and will happily teach any of these genres. If students are interested in composing their own songs, I am happy to work with them on songwriting techniques as well.
